Tip of the Week: Use Your Smartphone to Enhance Your Productivity

Tip of the Week: Use Your Smartphone to Enhance Your Productivity

Imagine leaving the house without your smartphone. What a tragedy that must be for some people. Today, we want to highlight some of the many tools you can utilize to make your smartphone experience more enjoyable and productive.

Use Alarms

Alarms can be helpful for managing tasks and scheduling breaks. You can also use them as reminders to ensure that you don’t forget important activities. Alarms can be useful for reminding you to slow down and take breaks, further enhancing your productivity through necessary rest. Your smartphone can also be a tool to set up intervals for longer or multi-part tasks. Too many alarms, however, can just be a distraction you don’t need.

Make Lists

List-making is also a productivity strategy that you can use with your smartphone. There are apps out there that help you keep track of tasks, manage shopping lists, to-do lists, and so on. Depending on the app, you can do this on a daily or weekly basis, or just on-the-fly as needed. These apps often have built-in reminders and notifications, too, that allow you to ensure no task goes unaddressed.

Manage Tasks

If you need a task management app, there are several free options that offer great value. You can set tasks with reminders and share lists, allowing for collaboration between various users. Some apps also allow you to set due dates and reminders while also syncing across devices.

Take Notes

Our last recommended productivity tip for smartphones is note taking. Note taking apps are available on pretty much any device, including some popular apps like Evernote and OneNote. You’ll have no shortage of tools to take and organize your notes.
